Left to right --Blair, Jan, Laura, Sharon, Marian, Rodger
Sorry for my absence from Blog Land during the past week. My computer had a slight problem of not being able to connect to the internet and with my resident computer wiz out of town, I've been stranded in the physical world. Now he's back, problem solved, and I'm up and running again. It seems that I have a lot of catching up to do.
"Girls Night Out" was outstanding---far beyond anything that we had imagined. I want to say a big "Thank You" to all of my Fairy Godmothers, one Prince Charming and my Cupcake Princess who worked so hard to contribute to the success of the evening.
Rodger - Thanks for hauling in all of the boxes, unpacking, pricing and displaying. But most of all, thanks for being smiley and courteous amidst all the estrogen swirling in the air that night. All the while, your fingers were flying on the calculator with speed and accuracy. Who knew that Prince Charming was an accountant?
Laura - A woman with incredible energy! After baking mountains of delicious cupcakes in the morning, she helped us organize and display in the afternoon. Then, Laura returned at night to work the entire evening behind the counter with perky enthusiasm. Wish I could bottle that stamina, tie it with a glittery bow and sell it at American Harvest. We'd be millionaires!
Jan - After enjoying a calm relaxing day, I'm sure the high energy swarm of ladies was not the way you would have preferred to end your evening. Your loyalty and work ethic is unsurpassed and much appreciated. While participating in every event for the past ten years, no occasion would be complete without you.
April - A working machine! The girl does not stop until the work is complete. Although April could not help us the night of the event, she worked the night before unpacking, pricing, and displaying. What a powerhouse --- like the Energizer Bunny on mega doses of caffeine!
Marian - She came to help us despite being stung by a bee on her foot (her foot was so swollen she couldn't wear her shoe). We tried to make her go home, but she wouldn't leave until the long line of customers died down after a few hours. With her smiling friendly disposition, no one knew she was in excruciating pain. Thank you Marion --- you are one tough chick!
Blair - Our darling Cupcake Princess --- who showed up donned in cupcake attire to complement the evening. You charmed our customers with your sparkling personality. We can't wait to see your wardrobe for our Fall and Christmas Open Houses!
To our treasured customers - thank you, thank you, thank you for always making our parties complete. We appreciate all your loyalty and support throughout the past ten years. You are truly the people who make up the world of American Harvest. Without you, there would be no friendships, no fun times. We love you!
Our next post will be "A Peek Into The Cupcake Room". Can't wait to share pics of the yummy treats that wait inside...
With heartfelt appreciation and love,
Sharon
